ECON 402 - Applied Economic Analysis Credits: (3) The objective of this course is to introduce students to a practical economic analysis. Applied analysis in economics is on the cutting edge of economic research and it is necessary for making decisions. The knowledge of theoretical models, the application of those and the use of relevant information are critical to understanding how a project or policy initiative might impact a business, an industry, public policy or the public at large. This course has three main goals: learning basic theoretical models; applying economic analysis in the areas of Micro Theory, Economic Growth, Development, Poverty and Inequality, Spatial Econometrics, Experimental Economics, Behavioral Economics, Neuroeconomics and Public Policy. Prerequisite(s): ECON 211-ECON 212 Spring, Even Years
