Physiology of Mental Health will explore how mental health affects the body and the mind. This lecture and lab course will meet the core science requirement and is designed for non-science majors. Students will get to explore fascinating cases where biology meets psychology and develop richer knowledge of mental health and disorders. Through this course’s completion, students will understand the biological basis of mental health and cognition, while practicing analysis, scientific method, and critical thinking skills. Some topics that will be covered in Physiology of Mental Health will be brain-body connection, behavior & genetics, and psychological abnormalities.
