CYBER 365 - Pen.Testing and Ethical Hacking

Introduction to the concepts and methods associated with the cybersecurity practice known as penetration testing or ethical hacking, exploring network security concepts from the prospective of the attacker. The course covers reconnaissance, scanning, gaining access (exploitation), maintaining access, clearing tracks, and reporting. Using common attack tools and frameworks, the student will discover system vulnerabilities and exploit those vulnerabilities to better understand how to mitigate those security risks. Prerequisite(s): CYBER 260 Networking Administration (3). Strongly recommended: CMSCI 358 Computer Security I (3)
