PSYCH 380 - Stress Management and Mindfulness Credits: (3) This course examines the stress response and its relationship to physiological, environmental, social, and psychological/cognitive factors. The stress response is conceptualized as the way individuals react and interact with their life situation. Stress management techniques are explored with an emphasis on coloring, yoga, imagery, and mindfulness. This course will provide students with an active and collaborative learning experience. Class members and the instructor will work together to create a supportive climate in which reflection, self-exploration, discussion, and skills practice can take place. Prerequisite(s): PSYCH 100 Foundations of Psychology (3) Spring, Even Years
