THEOL 151 - Theology and Film Credits: (3) This course introduces students to the concepts and practices of theological reflection and study through the medium of films. Films selected will include both overtly religious films, as well as films which explore religious and spiritual themes less directly. The course will pay special attention to how film narratives shape our sense of what “religion” is, where we find it, and how it shapes human relationships and societies. The course requires no background in theology. Evening attendance at film showing may be required as a part of the course. Fall Only
