This course is a survey of the major theoretical thinking in sociology, including its emergence in the 1800s, the major schools of social theory, and the relevance of theory to sociological research. Students will learn the skills of analysis, evaluation and application of sociological theory to contemporary social issues. Prerequisite(s): SOC 100. Spring Only
