JAPN 216 - Japanese Language & Culture II Credits: (3) These intermediate courses review material typically covered in a first-year Japanese course. In addition, these courses develop the communicative skills of intermediate-language learners and strengthen their proficiency as they begin to discuss, read and write about culturally important literary texts, works of art, music and films that have contributed to the development of Japanese civilization. Upon completion of a second course at the 200-level in Japanese with C+ or better, eligible students will receive three credits prior learning for JAPN 200. Prerequisite(s): JAPN 102 Beginning Japanese II (3) or equivalent.
