CHEM 100 - Introduction to Chemistry

This course is intended to prepare students for the general chemistry sequence, General Chemistry I and II, CHEM 101 and CHEM 102. The focus is on helping students master the basic chemical concepts and mathematics skills needed for success in general chemistry and higher level chemistry courses. Topics include: SI units and conversions, chemical nomenclature, atomic theory, introduction to the periodic table, moles and molar mass, stoichiometry, chemical reactivity, and chemical bonding. This course is offered online.
