BIOL 440 - Conservation Biology

Current and historical concepts in the field of conservation biology and wildlife and resource management will be introduced and discussed. Students will learn about patterns of biodiversity, threats to biodiversity, and how to conserve biodiversity at the genetic-level, population-level, and ecosystem-level. Methods of conservation and preservation to protect species and habitat will be analyzed. Includes a lab. Prerequisite(s): BIOL 110 and BIOL 111 or permission of instructor Spring, Even Years
