*Since MATH 389 Numerical Methods (3) counts for both majors, if it is taken, then only two CMSCI elective courses and two MATH elective courses need to be taken.
Electives
15 to 18 credits
Note
Students who wish to double major in both mathematics and computer science are required to meet the requirements of both majors.
To earn a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and Computer Science, Double Major, students must complete a minimum of 120 credit hours. Students must also earn a major GPA of 2.0, and a cumulative GPA of 2.0.
MATH 389 Numerical Methods (3) is not a required course. Since it counts as both a Computer Science and Math Elective, it is a good choice. Students who elect not to take MATH 389 Numerical Methods (3) can instead take 3 Math and 3 Computer Science Electives.
