The One-Year Master of Business Administration requires a minimum of 37 credit hours.

Program Information

Overview

The One-Year MBA program is designed for students who have the ability to attend two evening classes per week, Tuesdays and Thursdays, with a lockstep schedule of the MBA core courses. The MBA core courses begin each Fall and continue through Summer I. Two electives are scheduled online each Summer II. Students may choose to take the two online electives at the start of the One-Year MBA program or the end of the one-year MBA program during the Summer II session. All classes meet at Mount St. Mary’s Emmitsburg campus.

Note: Students in the traditional MBA program may register for these classes on the Emmitsburg campus. However, traditional MBA students pay the traditional MBA tuition rate rather than the One-Year MBA tuition rate.

Application and Admission

Students apply for admission into the One-Year MBA program. The application process and admission requirements are the same for the traditional MBA program. Students are admitted into this program ONLY in the Summer II or Fall I sessions.

Program Standing

To remain in the One-Year MBA program, students must follow the schedule exactly and be continuously enrolled.

* MBA 501  should be taken as one of the first three courses in a non-certificate program.
** MBA 519  carries a 24 hour credit-hour prerequisite, completion of MBA 503 , MBA 504 , and MBA 509  and should be taken toward the end of the program.
*** MBA 536  requires a minimum of 24 graduate hours and all prerequisites.
