More information about Division of Continuing Studies :
A minimum of 120 credit hours is required for a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education, Continuing Studies.
The program in Elementary Education is designed to prepare students to teach language arts, social studies, mathematics and science in grades 1-6. The program holds a Certificate of Distinction from the International Reading Association for the quality preparation in reading instruction. This Maryland Approved Program meets certification requirements in other states. Students are advised, however, to consult certification requirements in states of interest early in their study.

Note
To earn a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education, Continuing Studies, students must complete a minimum of 120 credit hours. Students must also earn a cumulative GPA of 2.75.
Optional Certifications:Art Certification (P-12) or World Languages Certification (P-12)
All Mathematics and Laboratory Science courses must be passed with a grade of C or higher.
