The Master of Science in Biotechnology and Management degree requires the successful completion of 36 credits, including a capstone project. The Data Science Post-Baccalaureate Certificate requires 12 credits. 
The two credentials taken separately require a total of 51 credits. However, following the pathway below, students can complete both credentials with as few as 45 earned credits.

If applicant does not hold a biology or related degree, prerequisites can be completed through the Mount’s online, self-paced supplemental bridge modules designed to provide an adequate foundation in chemistry, molecular biology, cell biology and genetics. These optional bridge modules are also available for those who have not taken these courses in the last several years and would like a refresher.

The post-baccalaureate certificate in Data Science is an online program designed for professionals from diverse backgrounds and disciplines with a goal to build on the subject matter expertise within the individual applicant’s professional and educational experiences.  It is designed to provide participants with the knowledge and skills necessary to contribute at an expanded level within a highly data-centric world.  Participants will develop skills within key technology areas, key computational areas, and key application areas without presumed prior knowledge specific to these areas.  The full certificate curriculum consists of five required courses each building on expertise from previously completed courses.

These programs are available to be completed fully online with asynchronous and synchronous courses.
