MEDUC 606 - Teaching and Learning in Neurodiverse Classrooms Credits: (3) This course is designed to help reading specialist candidates embrace the strengths of neurodiverse students in order to help them thrive in school and beyond. The content learned in the class will afford candidates the knowledge necessary to create classrooms and schools where students with disabilities flourish alongside their typically developing peers. Specifically, candidates will explore 1) strength-based strategies, 2) understanding by design, 3) differentiation, 4) differentiation for neurodiversity, and 5) state accountability testing.
