GNSCI 126 - Bio Sci/Exercise and Well-Being

Human health is closely linked to our physical activity, and exercise can help improve health and well-being-from social and psychological benefits to combating the effects of aging and managing chronic disease. Students in this course will explore the short and long-term impacts of exercise on the human body with a focus on the many ways that physical activity contributes to maintaining our well-being. They will critically engage with scientific evidence and explore the use of the scientific process to ask and answer questions. This course is designed for non-science majors and will fulfill the science requirement in the Core. The course will include lecture and lab components which will include student-driven discussions, dissections, and physiological measurements. $115 Fee Applies
