PHIL 334 - To Be Called: Exploring Vocation

This course will explore what it means to be called by God, investigating how our free will cooperates with God’s plan for us to live lives of significance in service to God and others. Students in this course will explore and discuss a variety of topics, including the universal call to holiness, various states in life, and concepts of personal and professional vocation through the study of church documents, the lives of the saints, and the insights shared by Christian philosophers and theologians through the centuries. This course invites all curious people who are open to learning how to listen to the voice of God.
