This course focuses on 1) the essence of populism, including discussions on populist rhetoric and its presence in the U.S; 2) the concept of democracy, exploring how it is measured and its status in various countries, including the U.S.; and 3) the interplay between populism and democracy, posing questions about their mutual influence and impact on each other.
