CHEM 202 - Organic Chemistry II Credits: (4) Continues to build on material covered in CHEM 201 including the chemistry of the compounds of carbon-containing molecules, with emphasis on functional groups. Study of the structure, reactivity and synthesis of organic molecules; the mechanism of specific reactions; introductory instrumental techniques; and introductory biochemistry. Development of laboratory technique to synthesize, isolate and characterize organic compounds. Lecture and lab.This course can only be retaken once. Students must earn a C- or higher in all prerequisite courses. Prerequisite(s): CHEM 101, CHEM 102, and CHEM 201. $115 Fee Applies Spring only.
