BIOL 440 - Conservation Biology Credits: (4) Current and historical concepts in the field of conservation biology and wildlife and resource management will be introduced and discussed. Students will learn about patterns of biodiversity, threats to biodiversity, and how to conserve biodiversity at the genetic-level, population-level, and ecosystem-level. Methods of conservation and preservation to protect species and habitat will be analyzed. Includes a lab. Students must earn a C- or higher in all prerequisite courses. Prerequisite(s): BIOL 110, BIOL 111, and BIOL 225 (or permission of instructor). $115 Fee Applies Spring, even years.
