MEDUC 513 - Social Studies in the Integrated Cu

Topics in multicultural education, history, geography, economics, political science, social science and current events are presented and integrated into the curriculum to enhance critical thinking and problem solving skills. Teacher candidates will have the opportunity to make literacy connections for each topic presented. Attention is given to a variety of strategies that include, but are not limited to, multiple intelligences, case study, concept formation, primary sources and values formation. Taken concurrently with MEDUC 512 in the spring semester. Ten full days or 20 half days of field experience are required. Lab fee. Spring Only
