PHIL 348 - Italian Renaissance

Credits: (3)
This is a multidisciplinary course that explores the philosophical riches of life and culture in the Italian Renaissance by examining how philosophy informed the literature, history, politics, and art of the period. We will apply the thought of classical philosophers and schools, such as Plato, Aristotle, and Neoplatonism, to key figures of the Italian Renaissance with the aim of illuminating both. The course is designed to take full advantage of the study abroad location in Florence, Italy.
