Taking the regions of Brittany and Normandy for its subject, this course will examine the cultural heritage that each of these distinct regions possesses and the ways in which their cultures have contributed to French national identity. Students will continue to cultivate their language proficiency as they engage with a broad range of cultural materials that include short stories, memoirs, folktales, music, art, photography, and film originating in the Breton and Norman regions. Prerequisite(s): FREN 102 Beginning French II (3) or equivalent. (Occasionally)
