BIOL 435 - Cancer Biology Credits: (4) Utilizes lecture, experimentation and experimental/clinical scenarios to examine both the clinical and molecular aspects of tumorigenesis. Topics of discussion may include cancer development and progression, oncogenes and tumor suppressor genes, cell cycle control, apoptosis, angiogenesis, cell migration/metastasis, and the immune response to cancer. Integrated lecture and lab. This course fulfills the Molecular and Cellular area requirement in the Biology major. Prerequisite(s): BIOL 221 Genetics (4) and CHEM 201 Organic Chemistry I (4) .
