This course aims to provide students with an introduction to Crime Analysis, which includes: (1) the history of the profession; (2) analytical techniques and methods; (3) civilian role in a law enforcement agency; (4) practical applications and necessary skills which can be utilized in entry level analyst positions; and (5) advancements in technology and how they relate to the crime analysis field.
