HIST 375 - U.S. History from 1945 to the Present

Examines American social, cultural, and political history from the end of World War Two to the present. Through lectures, primary and secondary source readings, class discussions, films and music we will explore the most significant themes of our most recent past. Additionally, students will engage in their own research projects during the semester. This course will especially focus on social and political movements, American foreign policy at home and abroad, changing notions of the role of government, and transformations in American popular culture. Prerequisite(s): (HIST 202 )
